I am Verónica Rincón and my research focuses on the coevolution between carotenoid-based coloration in passerine birds and the fruits of angiosperms, exploring both microevolutionary mechanisms and macroevolutionary patterns of this mutualistic interaction. By combining comparative approaches, phylogenetic analyses, and ecological network studies, I investigate how frugivory influences plumage coloration and how these visual signals affect the dynamics of ecological interactions.
